Image: Eileen Marcus Eileen Marcus brings 30 years of experience in consumer and niche market counseling. During the course of her career, Ms. Marcus led a diverse client portfolio with extensive industry and institutional experience focusing on reputation management and branding, corporate relations, strategic national consumer and trade media relations, new product introductions, special events, and crisis management for issues such as product tampering and recalls.

Currently, Ms. Marcus heads the consumer practice in Washington, D.C., including branding campaigns and national consumer outreach for AARP, Library of Congress, and the National Confectioners Association.

Additionally, she led the national Burger King account as well as the Florida Anti- Tobacco Youth Pilot Program account at her previous position with Zynyx Marketing Communications and was general manager of Burson-Marsteller/Miami, having established the office in 1988.

At Burson-Marsteller, Ms. Marcus sharpened her crisis expertise while counseling national clients such as Home Depot, State Farm, Coca-Cola, Georgia Pacific, Gerber Baby Food, and Lennar Homes following the Hurricane Andrew disaster. Ms. Marcus has media-trained executives from a wide range of companies on far-reaching issues from food-borne illnesses to oil spills to medical malpractice confrontations. She has extensive destination marketing experience with Fisher Island Club, Resort and Spa, Sundial Beach Resort, Loew’s Hotels, and the Lipton Tennis Tournaments.

Before Burson-Marsteller, Ms. Marcus owned her own public relations firm, Marketing Mix in Miami, where she led a large healthcare portfolio and was an innovator in medical and hospital marketing during the early days of census-building product marketing and consolidation.

Ms. Marcus has earned five Florida Public Relations Association Golden Image Awards, as well as five Miami Ad Federation Addy Awards for creative work. She received special recognition as publisher of Caribbean Review literary magazine.

A former president of the Miami FPRA chapter, she is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America and is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Journalism. Ms. Marcus is also a board member of the Asthma and Allergy Association of America.
