Try, Try Again!

On the upper right-hand corner of The Boomer Blog, you will see an invitation to subscribe to our eQuarterly, The FH BoomTimes. For those who had trouble signing up last week, we've fixed the glitch and are now ready to roll.

Given that how we are approaching our launch has a great deal of synergy with the advice we give clients who want to reach the boomer market, we think it's worthwhile to repeat our behind-the-scenes thinking about our eQuarterly launch with you.

For the rest of today's blog, continue at The Boomer Blog

1. First off, we know you wish you could visit us every day, but given your busy schedule, it’s unlikely. Therefore, we’re adopting this “best of” approach so that you won’t miss out on the action.

• “Top Blog” will link you to The Boomer Blog’s best blog of the quarter: that which generated the most feedback and commentary
• “Boomer Buzz” will catch you up with a three-dot compendium of marketing-to-boomer updates, gossip and happenings throughout our global network of marketing-to-boomer specialists
• “Marketer of the Boomiverse” will highlight a campaign, and the individual behind it, that exemplifies best practices in the marketing-to-boomer category
• “News You Can Use” will draw upon and/or announce cutting-edge research both by us and/or by our collaborating research partners.
• Finally, we will direct you by link to any new features on the website.

2. Because even once a quarter, you’re pressed for time, this will be kept to a page and one-half max, and delivered to you in the privacy and comfort of your own email inbox.

3. Our eQuarterly is just one part of an integrated marketing effort, including traditional PR. We need to do this because boomers are busy multi-taskers. Given that they only have time to read a snippet of this, a patch of that, all of the pieces work better together seamlessly. Our newest addition, the eQuarterly, is no exception.

4. Finally, our guiding mission is to walk our talk—to provide quality service, intelligence and
empathy with our readers: those visionary marketers and journalists of all generations who have joined us in this revolutionary effort to overthrow the stereotypes of aging and, oh yes, to advance our careers by being smart enough to have figured out where the real action is!
