Overview: America’s baby boomers are pushing toward their 50s and 60s; however, new evidence implies that the nation’s cities are not adequately equipped to “meet the needs of their aging populations.” Specifically, “The ‘Maturing of America’ report found only 46 percent of 1,790 cities and counties surveyed nationwide have done anything to address the needs of aging Boomers.”

The U.S. Census Bureau tells us that of the 97 million Americans who are 45 or older, almost 40 percent - 36.2 million - are available singles. There is no shame in being single.
